Andover Youth Services is excited for another season of the boys and girls high school Varsity Ultimate teams starting this spring! We are opening up registration to 8th grade athletes as well to participate starting this season!The fee for the season of $250/athlete will cover the cost of the coaches, use of facilities, team uniforms (team jersey and practice jersey), transportation with our shuttles and the team registration for USA Ultimate. We will also be hosting a end of the year banquet including senior gifts, awards, and accolades that will be given out at the banquet. This membership and overall league status is changing so this may change for the start of this year. Individual athletes will need to register themselves through www.usaultimate.org for a new or renewal of membership through the organization. The fee for each athlete is $40 that will need to be paid for separately. We will be looking to have some parent volunteer to help our coach for both the girls and boys team during games to coordinate throughout the season as well as assisting on our shuttles that will be used to travel for away games. If you are available and interested in helping the team, that would be much appreciated. Please make sure to check off in the question section of registration that you would like to volunteer. This program is overseen by Andover Youth Services.

Kid Care is excited to announce that Fun School has been renamed and is now called Curious Explorers Academy. Ms Rachael and the same amazing Fun School staff will now lead our new three day Curious Explorer Academy program. Designed for children ready to begin their first school experience, this hands-on program supports independence, social-emotional growth, and self-help skills.Our themed curriculum encourages learning through creative play, art, and fine motor activities. Each classroom hosts 12–15 children with a 1:5 staff-to-child ratio for personalized attention. Sessions run in 6 week blocks, and families can choose one, two, or three days per week to fit their needs. This group will focus on increasing socialization with peers, increasing positive self image, increase creativity, and provide opportunities for building positive individual and group play through a variety of Music-Based experiences. This group will be run by a Board Certified Music Therapist, who will facilitate experiences utilizing music, movement, and music-based games in order to achieve the goals for the group. Music experiences will provide opportunities for participants to work both individually and within a team unit to express themselves in a safe and supportive environment to explore. No previous music experiences are required, all that is needed is an open-mind, a positive attitude,a willingness to try new things, and a love for music.

This course is designed to prepare lifeguard candidates to prevent, recognize, respond, and manage aquatic emergencies, breathing and cardiac emergencies, and standard first aid injury and illness emergencies. Course includes: Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and Standard First Aid. Lifeguard candidates must be 15 years of age and have the ability to demonstrate the following: complete a swim-tread-swim sequence without stopping to rest by jumping into the water and totally submerging; resurfacing, then swimming 150 yards using the front crawl, breast stroke or a combination of both; maintaining position at the surface of the water for two minutes by treading water using only the legs; swimming 50 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both, and able to retrieve a 10-lb weight from seven feet of water; then swimming 20 yards, with legs only. Upon successful completion of the lifeguard course, candidates will receive an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification, a Standard First Aid certification and a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescue certification valid for two years.Blended learning online work must be completed before the start of class.

This course is designed to prepare lifeguard candidates to prevent, recognize, respond, and manage aquatic emergencies, breathing and cardiac emergencies, and standard first aid injury and illness emergencies. Course includes: Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and Standard First Aid. Lifeguard candidates must be 15 years of age and have the ability to demonstrate the following: complete a swim-tread-swim sequence without stopping to rest by jumping into the water and totally submerging; resurfacing, then swimming 150 yards using the front crawl, breast stroke or a combination of both; maintaining position at the surface of the water for two minutes by treading water using only the legs; swimming 50 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both, and able to retrieve a 10-lb weight from seven feet of water; then swimming 20 yards, with legs only. Upon successful completion of the lifeguard course, candidates will receive an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification, a Standard First Aid certification and a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescue certification valid for two years.Blended learning online work must be completed before the start of class.

Have your kids paint with us. All projects (7 total) will be planned by Magic Brush Pottery and they will teach them designs with a step by step class; the kids will pick their own colors. Pottery will be food safe. Pottery paint is non- toxic and washable. Kid Care is excited to announce that Fun School has been renamed and is now called Curious Explorers Academy. Ms Rachael and the same amazing Fun School staff will now lead our new three day Curious Explorer Academy program. Designed for children ready to begin their first school experience, this hands-on program supports independence, social-emotional growth, and self-help skills.Our themed curriculum encourages learning through creative play, art, and fine motor activities. Each classroom hosts 12–15 children with a 1:5 staff-to-child ratio for personalized attention. Speech and Debate The speech and debate program will focus on building public speaking, critical thinking, and teamwork skills in participants by developing skills such as speech writing, delivery techniques, and debate strategies. Students will explore various debate formats and research contemporary issues to prepare for mock debates and potential competitions. Regular reflection sessions will help track progress and celebrate achievements. Andover Youth Services is excited for another season of the boys and girls high school Varsity Ultimate teams starting this spring! We are opening up registration to 8th grade athletes as well to participate starting this season!The fee for the season of $250/athlete will cover the cost of the coaches, use of facilities, team uniforms (team jersey and practice jersey), transportation with our shuttles and the team registration for USA Ultimate. We will also be hosting a end of the year banquet including senior gifts, awards, and accolades that will be given out at the banquet. This membership and overall league status is changing so this may change for the start of this year. Individual athletes will need to register themselves through www.usaultimate.org for a new or renewal of membership through the organization. The fee for each athlete is $40 that will need to be paid for separately. We will be looking to have some parent volunteer to help our coach for both the girls and boys team during games to coordinate throughout the season as well as assisting on our shuttles that will be used to travel for away games. If you are available and interested in helping the team, that would be much appreciated. Please make sure to check off in the question section of registration that you would like to volunteer. This program is overseen by Andover Youth Services.

Along the way, students receive detailed feedback and strategies tailored to the areas where they need the most support. Speech and Debate The speech and debate program will focus on building public speaking, critical thinking, and teamwork skills in participants by developing skills such as speech writing, delivery techniques, and debate strategies. Students will explore various debate formats and research contemporary issues to prepare for mock debates and potential competitions. Regular reflection sessions will help track progress and celebrate achievements. This 6-week SAT Prep Program is built around clear diagnostics and focused practice to help students steadily improve in both Reading/Writing and Math. Each week mixes targeted lessons with timed drills so students can build confidence, sharpen their skills, and get used to the SAT’s pacing. Along the way, students receive detailed feedback and strategies tailored to the areas where they need the most support. By the end of the course, they’ll have a solid understanding of the test, a clearer sense of their strengths, and a stronger shot at reaching their goal score.
