Community Service Projects - Sweet Treats for a Cause Get Involved in a Community Service Project!Looking to complete community service hours or just want to give back? We offer a variety of short-term opportunities for middle and high school students.Activities and projects vary and take place on or off site at various locations, including Community Giving Tree, Lazarus House, Bread and Roses, Atria Senior Living, and One Wish Project. Dates and times may vary. Our projects may include:
Crafts and Activities for Children: Host and run engaging activities and crafts for young kids, bringing smiles to their faces.
Meal Preparation and Service: Help make and serve dinner to families in need, providing a warm meal and a sense of community.
Donation Sorting and Organization: Lend a hand in sorting and organizing donation goods to ensure they reach those who need them most.
Collection Drives: Andover Youth Services (AYS) will also be hosting collection drives, so stay tuned for opportunities to donate items to those in need.
Share Your Talents: Do you play an instrument, have a special skill, or love working with seniors?
Whether you play the piano, guitar, or any other instrument, this is your chance to perform for an appreciative audience. Youth Rugby - Andover Youth Rugby Clinic This program will introduce participants to the game of rugby. Admired around the world, rugby is one of the fastest growing sports in America and its popularity is expected to skyrocket in the next decade as the US prepares to host the Rugby World Cup. Andover Youth Rugby (AYR) will work to foster an appreciation for different athletic cultures, as well as develop a teamwork-based and strategic mindset in the young players. This is a unique opportunity to expose children to a productive recreational exploit that they could enjoy for the rest of their lives.

Outer Limits - Outer Limits Session 1 (6/23-6/27) We are excited to be holding the Outer Limits again this summer at the Cormier Youth Center!Participants will be able to choose from a few activities that are set for the day that can range from organized games outdoors or in the gym, arts & crafts activities, chance to play music, team building activities, cooking and more!You can bring a lunch with you or we will be offering a limited amount of hot meals that are prepared by the chef from the Robb Center. Food menu will be available in the coming weeks. We ask that you preregister for any lunches because we will only have a limited number of meals available. In the afternoon, we highly encourage our participants to head off site to an outdoor location. We will have designated days to swim and fish at Pomp's Pond in Andover, go to the Greater Lawrence Boating Club to sail, canoe, and kayak! We will also take trips and utilize the abundance of trails and waterfronts located in or around the Andover area to go hiking, swimming, fishing, etc.Fridays are "Field Trip Friday"! Each week we will go on a different field trip and will receive a special AYS t shirt to help identify our youth while off site. (*Each participant will receive 1 shirt for the summer*) Field trips are included in the price of the program. Youth are allowed to bring extra money to buy additional food or do other activities that may have to be paid for additionally. (Field trips will be listed once they are all finalized)Summer School Student - Half Day Option. This is an offering to those students that will be in school during the morning. Are you a high school student who enjoys working with kids, giving back to your community, or earning community service hours in a meaningful way? In the afternoon, we highly encourage our participants to head off site to an outdoor location. We will have designated days to swim and fish at Pomp's Pond in Andover, go to the Greater Lawrence Boating Club to sail, canoe, and kayak! We will also take trips and utilize the abundance of trails and waterfronts located in or around the Andover area to go hiking, swimming, fishing, etc.Fridays are "Field Trip Friday"! Each week we will go on a different field trip and will receive a special AYS t shirt to help identify our youth while off site. (*Each participant will receive 1 shirt for the summer*) Field trips are included in the price of the program. Outer Limits - Outer Limits Session 1 (6/23-6/27) We are excited to be holding the Outer Limits again this summer at the Cormier Youth Center!Participants will be able to choose from a few activities that are set for the day that can range from organized games outdoors or in the gym, arts & crafts activities, chance to play music, team building activities, cooking and more!You can bring a lunch with you or we will be offering a limited amount of hot meals that are prepared by the chef from the Robb Center. Food menu will be available in the coming weeks. We ask that you preregister for any lunches because we will only have a limited number of meals available. In the afternoon, we highly encourage our participants to head off site to an outdoor location. We will have designated days to swim and fish at Pomp's Pond in Andover, go to the Greater Lawrence Boating Club to sail, canoe, and kayak! We will also take trips and utilize the abundance of trails and waterfronts located in or around the Andover area to go hiking, swimming, fishing, etc.Fridays are "Field Trip Friday"! Each week we will go on a different field trip and will receive a special AYS t shirt to help identify our youth while off site. (*Each participant will receive 1 shirt for the summer*) Field trips are included in the price of the program. Youth are allowed to bring extra money to buy additional food or do other activities that may have to be paid for additionally. (Field trips will be listed once they are all finalized)Summer School Student - Half Day Option. This is an offering to those students that will be in school during the morning. The program will run from 12-3:30pm with the field trip included. Please reach out ays@andoverma.us if you have any questions about the program.
