Shawsheen Family Paddle Day - 11:00 AM Session
Paddling on the Shawsheen River is one of our Town’s great close-to-home recreational opportunities. For the third year in a row, Andover Trails will be collaborating with Andover Recreation and the Andover Conservation Department to host a Family Paddle Day on Saturday, May 17 and Saturday, September 27. Canoes and kayaks will be available at Shawsheen Pines across from Pfizer for free to introduce you to the River and help those that don’t have their own boats. All equipment will be provided as well as some assistance with paddling for newcomers. Andover Trails is also seeking volunteers to help support the event. Please send an email to shawsheengreenway@gmail if you can volunteer to help.Location: Shawsheen Pines (Off Lowell Junction Road, Andover MA)Please note that guided tours on canoes are limited to 3 or 4 people.Please register for each person who will be attending the event.
