Block Party (After School Program) - April - MS Block Party Registration (4/1-4/30) Welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year! Block Party is our drop in after school program that runs daily after school (unless otherwise noted). Come connect with other kids, play sports in the gym, arts and crafts, ping-pong and other games in the lobby!Middle School: 3-6pmHalf Days: 11:30am-3pm$10/visit or get a membership for the year for unlimited Block Party access for the school year! Memberships are available for $300. There are other added benefits to having a membership such as a swag bag with a grade specific t-shirt, discount on a program and field trip as well as Cormier Cash to use at our concession stand! Community Service Projects - One Wish Project -Birthday Celebration Join Us for Thoughtful Thursdays!Are you looking to make a difference in your community? Thoughtful Thursdays offer a variety of community service opportunities to suit your interests and talents!What We Offer: On the 1st and 3rd Thursday, between 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM (dates and times may vary), you can participate in activities at various locations, including Community Giving Tree, Lazarus House, Bread and Roses, Atria Senior Living, and One Wish Project. Our projects include:
Crafts and Activities for Children: Host and run engaging activities and crafts for young kids, bringing smiles to their faces.
Meal Preparation and Service: Help make and serve dinner to families in need, providing a warm meal and a sense of community.
Donation Sorting and Organization: Lend a hand in sorting and organizing donation goods to ensure they reach those who need them most.
Share Your Talents: Do you play an instrument, have a special skill, or love working with seniors?
Whether you play the piano, guitar, or any other instrument, this is your chance to perform for an appreciative audience. Choose calming and uplifting pieces that resonate with our residents.Please contact me directly to coordinate available open dates to join. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring joy and connection through the power of music. Plan to connect with me beforehand to review logistics, instrument, and song choice.

Students are taught various locomotor skills which include walking, marching, jumping, hopping, sliding, cross-overs, galloping, skipping, running and walking backwards. Music is used by the instructor as a prompt or cue during the warm-up activity. We will then do a main activity which the focus will be on bilateral coordination, spatial awareness, eye tracking, balance, eye-hand coordination,eye-foot coordination, and more. These activities are individually designed for a wide range of students with varying disabilities. Different stations are used within one lesson to work on these skills. Adapted Physical Education equipment is used to complement the lesson.
