Want to try the fastest growing sport in America? This introductory class is the one to take. Pickleball is a cross between badminton, tennis and table tennis. Players will be taught the basic rules, common skills needed and safety guidelines. You will be having fun and playing games by the end of class! All equipment is provided. ***Please make sure you are registering only for sessions you are the correct skill level***Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced Indoor SessionsPlaying on a smaller court, players will have the chance to build agility and hand-eye coordination while still getting a good workout. Each week, teams will be formed from those who are in attendance, and games will be played. Please bring your own paddle. Some instruction is included, but the sessions mainly focus on game play. Supervised by Rec staff.Beginner & Intermediate Skills, Drills and GamesLooking to improve your pickleball skills and play better games? This class is just what you are looking for! Each week you will learn valuable pickleball skills and strategies that will help improve your pickleball experience. In addition, you will be able to play games after the teaching session in order to apply what you have learned. A fun night of learning and playing!Please note that registration is limited to one activity per participant due to high demand These programs are run by Rec Staff through Andover Recreation

Ski Bradford, in conjunction with Andover Rec, offers a popular six week after-school ski and snowboard program for Andover students entering grades 3-12. This program runs early January through mid-February. Schools are limited to 52 participants - please do not register for the waitlist until all spots are taken at your child's school.Package costs for the 2026 season are as follows:Open Ski/Snowboard - $400With Lessons - $550With Rentals - $550With Lessons & Rentals - $700Helmet Rental - $40PLEASE NOTE: SKI/SNOWBOARD LESSON LEVELS ARE ONLY LEVEL 1 AND LEVEL 2 AND ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.LESSONS WILL BE IN THE LEARNING AREA ONLY – MAGIC CARPETS AND ROPE TOWS ONLYNew this year, we will be adding an extra day available to all participants on Wednesday, January 28th on the APS Early Release Day for an additional $75 (add $30 for rentals). Please note that lessons will not be held that day (level 1 participants are still welcome to attend as they will have a few weeks worth of lessons under their belt). Participants will go to Bradford right at school dismissal and return to Andover at 5:00pm. To register, please add the “Bradford Single Day Fee” option as you go through the registration process. Session dates by school: Tuesdays 1/6-2/10 (make up dates 2/24 and 3/3): Andover High, High Plain, Sanborn, West Elementary, West Middle and Wood HillThursdays 1/8-2/12 (make up dates 2/26 and 3/5): Andover High, Bancroft, Doherty, Pike, South and St. AugustineAndover High students who register for Tuesday AND Thursday only pay $200 more for the additional day! If your high school student is purchasing a rental package for two days, please call our office at 978-623-8340 as we will need to manually apply the discount. Parent chaperones: We will be looking for parent volunteers again at each school this winter. If you are interested, please indicate this on your registration. We will be crediting the base cost of the program ($400) back to your MyRec account at the end of the program if you volunteer ($66.66/trip attended if you do not attend all 6 trips).
