Join Andover Rec on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights for adult pick-up basketball. Each week teams will be formed from those who are in attendance and games will be played. A reversible Rec pinny is required and will be issued at the first session. Please choose a size when registering. A $10.00 charge will be added if you do not have a pinny from a previous session and need one. This program is run by Andover Recreation

Dive into the world of code by coding your own space shooter games, trivia games, music bands, beautiful computer- generated art and math simulations or tell a story! Coding can be for kids of all ages! Even beginners who have no prior coding experience before are able to jump in and learn too! Kids learn to code using visual code blocks that represent real programming concepts that scale from easy to advanced. They learn about sequencing, loops, infinite loops, conditionals, events and more. With the Drag and Drop Platform, kids learn to code by creating their own games! Kids will get to see all these skills in action when they learn to programThis program is run by CodeWiz through Andover Recreation.

Have your kids paint with us. All projects (7 total) will be planned by Magic Brush Pottery and they will teach them designs with a step by step class; the kids will pick their own colors. Pottery will be food safe. Pottery paint is non- toxic and washable. Pottery and the glass piece will need to be fired and will be delivered to the Recreation Department within 2 weeks from the end of the session.This program is run by Magic Brush through Andover Recreation.

Build and take home your very own RE/CO Robot! RE/CO robot is a mechanical off-roading adventure! It comes equipped with an infrared sensor and artificial intelligence. With the wireless remote control added, RE/CO Robot can access new play modes like storytelling, singing, dancing, and even programming. Science from Scientists (SciSci) is an award-winning non-profit specializing in scientist-led STEM education. (K-2 Grade) Get a Clue: Become a Detective - Gather clues and investigate the hidden evidence to solve a mock crime in this 6 week forensic science series. Lift fingerprints, decode and analyze ransom notes, extract DNA from real samples and catalyze chemical reactions to uncover the secrets and solve the mystery. Real scientists guide youth through hands-on, minds-on activities to catch the culprit!(3-5 Grade) Re-Design Club: Become an Engineer -Get ready for an adventure of engineering and creativity in this immerse 6 week design series. Craft together innovations of simple machines that test repeatability and perseverance. Architect Mars Rovers that utilize heat shields, parachutes, and payload protection. Real scientists guide youth through hands-on, minds-on activities to unlock their ingenuity and prepare them for a future where they confidently tackle real-world challenges!This program is being offered from 3:45 pm – 4:45 pm on the following days:Tuesdays: K-2 West Elementary | K-2 South Elementary Wednesdays: 3-5 South Elementary (no class May 7th) Thursdays: K-2 Bancroft ElementaryInstructors will be on site starting at 3:30 pm.Fee – $220 (Current Kid Care Students are eligible for a coupon code and should contact the Recreation Office for details)Dates – Program begins the week of April 28th and will run for 6 weeks except for early release day.

Every kid loves making pinch pots! But let’s go beyond that and learn super cool techniques to transform pinch pots into puppy pals, silly rabbits, playful penguins, and much more.
