Class starts off with a warm-up. Students are taught various locomotor skills which include walking, marching, jumping, hopping, sliding, cross-overs, galloping, skipping, running and walking backwards. Music is used by the instructor as a prompt or cue during the warm-up activity. We will then do a main activity which the focus will be on bilateral coordination, spatial awareness, eye tracking, balance, eye-hand coordination,eye-foot coordination, and more. These activities are individually designed for a wide range of students with varying disabilities. Different stations are used within one lesson to work on these skills. Adapted Physical Education equipment is used to complement the lesson. Cool down and review, follow each lesson.
